Just finished reading "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" (last week actually but had to wait until she who must be obeyed read it) and was struck by the following:
1. The middle was boring - the gading about the countryside setting up camp every day. Thought it was urgent that they find the Horcruxes!
2. It was obvious before this book that Snape was a good guy - didn't he protect Harry from Quirrell during that Quidditch match?
3. Surely there were far too many narrow escapes for kids who didn't know everything about magic.
4. Why didn't the death eaters just Abra Cadaver everyone and be done with it?
5. Harry Potter does not respect his chidren - Albus Severus Potter for instance.
6. Voldemort was a boring adversary - supposed to be rich in knowledge of the dark arts and doesn't help his death eaters. Would you like fries with that?
7. J K Rowling does not like werewolfs.
8. Harry Potter is still a snot.
9. The book was definately made to be a movie.
Speaking of movies, wonder how the room of requirement will be explained as being there seeing Umbridge blew it up in the Order of the Phoenix - Wait I know - Magic.
And also seeing as how how Kreatcher had a small part in the movie and it did not really go into his betrayal how will it be fixed when he turns good guy and leads an army of revolting House Elves to the rescue.
Thats it for now but I might have to revisit this with more silliness.
I enjoyed the book though
